Suggestion Title: RTPC Raptor Bike Driver Training
Division: MET - RTPC
I believe there should be an additional qualification for bike which you can achieve through a small application which could be always open/interest form once you have completed all relevant competencies including SEG and passed probation etc.
This additional training package should include the following but not limited too;
- Pursuit driving with multiple other police bikes as primary whilst chasing other bikes, mopeds, pedal bikes and quad bikes.
- Commentary training to raptor units to get ahead to perform contact and other tactics as necessary
- Additional stinger/spike training of riders to get them deployed quickly, efficiently and safely in areas which you may not typically use
- Possible fictional tactics which could include assisting with pre-emptives such as using bikes to block other bikes in(not quad bikes), using their bikes to block pedestrians in safely after decamp etc.
You may ask what callsign they could use, I would suggest something like OC60+ which means they are displayed slightly differently, although along with the raptor cars which would be ideal for us to know who is available etc. However, I know how this server can be with adding more callsigns because it is "confusing" for new members.. to which it doesn't concern them nonetheless. So they could use just the normal raptor callsigns which are OC50+.
I believe this could and would be used a lot alongside Raptor teams and can be incredibly effective to us as RTPC as a whole, bringing more progression opportunities in RTPC as well as more things people can look forward too! This would be a great step-up in the division as it would allow more people to be involved in our specialist tactics!
