I find a lot of time there is a 999 call in chat the area gets swamped by units which 99% of the time is unnecessary and roleplay often goes out the window because there is so many people involved.
My suggestion to make things a little more realistic for all would be to create a separate channel in discord called 999/101 calls, this channel can only be accessed by civs and control.
When control is active CIVs should post their 999 calls in there, that way control can inform units over the radio about the 999 call and allocate units as required.
This way control keeps actual “control” over the units and doesn’t have an entire server swarming to a 999 call and they have no idea who’s where.
When control is no longer active then civs should use the current way of posting a 999.

We have CAD for that reason... calls can be placed directly to Control.
Plus the /999 and /101 is now fixed where calls are directly sent to CAD for control to dispatch units..

Ah ok! Just seen the update on discord about CAD 999 and 101 calls

Have to agree with Smallp on this. CIVs can send 999's in through control who are trained to allocate a sensible number of the correct units to prevent scene swarming. 999's on CAD are not mandatory and this is at the sole discretion of the individual CIV. Though I do agree it adds more realism and structure to calls and overall RP.
