Armed NCA

A suggestion for the nca department with the new 2 division role could it be possible to give CID officers that join NCA like a basic firearms training where they can carry 1/2 types of guns due to where we can’t join more than two division and with AFO being a hard division to get into it will give more for CID to do and they can only use the weapons when authorised for a NCA case not the standard AFO callouts

Hi Kyy,

Thanks for this suggestion. There are currently discussions going on around this and we are in the process of appointing a new AFO inspector so this is something the AFO & CID inspectors will discuss.
