Declined Band 2 authorisation’s

A little while ago authorisations were taken away from multi discipline band 2s. My thought is that if for example a DSU sgt is running as RTPC then we should be able to authorise RTPC tactics as we are acting rtpc sgts for that moment in time.

Hi M.Harrod,

Unfortunately at the moment we will be retaining the current format. As DSU Sgt you wouldn't ever be acting as RTPC Sgt, same for RTPC with AFO etc.
If control or another RTPC Command are not available then simply pursuits can be self authorised as long such actions can be justified.
The door is never shut, but for now we won't be altering this process.
