With the introduction of Vinewood PD being a fully blown custody sweet, and the massive increase in civ RP maybe it would be cool to explore the introduction of Dedicated Detention Officers.
The role DDO’s play IRL would differ to in game as we’re not gonna make Civ players stay in cells for extended periods of time, nor do they need food, water or looking after!
With this being said though we could introduce DDO’s to everyone rather than just CID members. The role of a DDO would be to conduct what custody trained CID members currently do. DDO’s would be responsible for booking and processing the detained person into custody, exactly the same way CID currently do.
The difference that DDO’s would bring would be that the training gets rolled out to all divisions, PC+, and players could play as DDO’s the entire time they’re on, for example I could be a DDO for 2 hours where I would stay at custody ready and waiting for any CivRP that need to be booked in.
