I like this a lot, but only station officer + have it currently, but I think this should be a thing.

Unfortunately not, only those with senior civ and permission to use it (Band 3 or 4+) actually have it. As station commander I don't even have it. I want it myself haha

Thank you for your suggestion, it was already in the works and is now in the game for you to enjoy. I will be declining this just to prevent it going onto the 'To Do list' when its already in game
