Suggestion Title: MDP - AFO Subdivision

Division: MET - AFO

I would like to see MDP (Ministry of Defence Police) added as a sub-division to AFO just a little insight to MDP.

We are… the Ministry of Defence Police. more commonly known as the MOD Police or the MDP. a national civilian police force. serving the MOD, other UK Government departments and UK NATO partners based in the UK. MDP also have their own Special Escort Group, specially trained in escorting nuclear weapons / nuclear materials around the UK.

Reasoning:

AFO:

It will allow AFO to explore new areas of RP not just driving around TPACing people, shooting people, and doing other AFO things. This will allow AFO to proactively defend RAF Northolt and explore different roles within armed policing. As MDP we will wear the same outfit as normal AFO (as they do irl), use the same firearms ( the H&K G36C / Sig MCX ), drive the same cars ( Beaconed X5s and CMAX maybe the addition of a beaconed Range Rover ). Training can be fairly simple from vehicle tactics when escorting nuclear weapons / materials around the UK ( map ).

Civilian side:

It will allow civilians to bring more RP to the server, allowing them to explore new areas of RP, allowing them to generate more ideas. From a civilian POV allowing them to go around the surrounding areas of RAF Northolt BUT not inside unless escorted by MDP can create RP such as deliveries, auditors trying to get information, plane crashes like the major incident declared at 20:15 today ( 04/10/23 ) a military plane had crashed outside the base so I as AFO went and guarded RAF Northolt to stop LAS, LFB, injured civilians entering RAF Northolt.

Possible Rules:

AFO - AFO can be the same as PaDP rules as they serve the same purpose visible protect.
Civ - auth needed to do scenes from a Senior Civ+, keep it realistic etc.

From a civ perspective, doing scenes at the RAF base is heavily restricted. I believe there would still be a very limited number of scenes that could be done at the RAF base if this was to be implemented.

Additionally, there would need to be a way for civilians to recognise if MDP are active, such as another callsign.

Alongside that, with the limited number of AFO, it would be difficult to split between regular AFO and MDP, which could cause delays in calls such as active shots fired.

As cool as this is, I don't believe it would be that proactive currently.

Honestly, I barely see PaDP standing around Downing St or other areas, adding something else like this would just end up in it not being utilised a month after implementation.

Thanks for the suggestion Connor and I agree it would make an interesting subdivision but at the minute we aren't looking to add any MOD or armed forces-related content to the server. This is mainly because we are a server based solely on Home Office divisions, if we add MODP then there will be suggestions for special forces soon enough and right now that wouldn't work in this server.

Therefore I'll be declining this suggestion, and for anyone watching this thread, I'd advise to not post any MOD or non Home Office related suggestions (as oppose to civ).

Regards,
AFO Command
