Suggestion Title: New AFO vehicle tactics

Division: MET - AFO

Hello my suggestion is for new AFO tactics. This will include head on and side on motorbike tc. I believe this will be beneficial as when not having these tactics it is quite hard to stop a motorbike pursuit without raptor. So due to us not having any special sub-division to perform tactics. I also believe we could implement the same new tactics RTPC have for tc so the new one would be reset strike.

spikes are very easily used? i feel if you want to do these tactics become RAPTOR

I think this would be beneficial in case of an armed bike pursuit, also this would give AFO the ability to work alongside and fill in for RAPTOR when numbers may be lacking.

AFO are already specialised in a lot of tactics anyways. By giving them this, it's just taking RAPTOR away from RTPC. Personally, i don't agree with this.

Also, if it's an armed pursuit how are RAPTOR able to get involved?

But how can raptor get involved if there is a firearm present?
rear ram? spikes? so then afo can head on tc without a helmet but raptor cant? cant be one for one and different for another. even we cant do side tc. as raptor

But your argument is to get raptor. Which is a fair argument. But you know as well as me that the moment that firearms are involved. It's a whole different ballgame. I'm in the middle of it all really but you gotta think a firearm is used. Threat to the public. Should that continue due to someone not being able to do a certian tactic? Same argument with raptor.

so thats where teamwork comes in. spikes forward thinking? hes not gonna be doing one handed shooting off his 1000cc s1000r at 100 mph lol

Armed bike pursuits are few and far between. I’ve been on 2 in 6 months, and most of the time they are concluded with no tactical contact as they just normally crash…

I can’t see why AFO need more tactics than they have to deal with rare circumstances.
If AFO can have raptor tactics then I would love to bring some form of Pre emptive “Tactical X-Ray” to RTPC.

I think a 3/4 man junction box would definitely be useful to have in Roads. Not just for bikes with RAPTOR but regular cars with TPAC.

Armed Tactics realistically are;

Compliant Stop - officers will pull the vehicle over normally. This is used when there is limited intel of firearms on board.

Natural Stop - when the vehicle approaches a red light or a place where it can stop on the road, the ARVs will box it in.

Enforced Stop - the vehicle is rammed off the road and brought to a stop. This is when it is 100% confirmed firearms are onboard and they are easily accessible.

These tactics can be followed by;

Armed Enquiry - Officer have their firearms slinged and do not draw them towards the offender. This is used when there is limited intel of firearms onboard, but it's believed they could be.

Contain & Callout - Once the vehicle is boxed in, officer will then draw their firearms towards the offender and provide communications for them to step out.

Also, there is normally an officer who uses a taser as a non-lethal option. Once the offender is compliant, the officer with the taser will move up and apply cuffs to the offender.

You can also do a moving hardstop if deemed necessary.

The tactics above will be decided by the iTFC/iSFC (Control Room FIM) and relayed to the OFC who is on the ground coordinating with fellow armed officers.

I know this seems complex, but there is way more tactics for firearms. The ones above are the most commonly used firearms tactics. If you are wanting pedestrian tactics, I will be more than happy to provide them also.

Just my opinion, but I don't reckon their is many offender who will use motorbike to transport firearms or do firearms related crime. Majority of the time, a vehicle will be used. Firearms also have limited tactics on motorbike aswell. Firearms would probably look at stinging the motorbike then the driver will crash and they will chase it on foot and use pedestrian tactics such as a Overt Challenge from Cover followed by a pre-emtive taser.
