Hi I was wondering this is more for scd and normal cid but being able to take the lanyards of that day cid because it will help scd follow people and plan there strike better.

Hello Connor, thanks for your suggestion.

The lanyards you speak of would only identify you as police if the suspect/s are close enough to read the small text, otherwise it could be any lanyard for absolutely anything. The CID and SCD uniforms are not designed for covert surveillance, we currently have 3 covert uniforms which are fully unmarked, one of which is available to all of CID with authorisation from a TL.

On this basis, this suggestion will be declined, this is a low priority change and one easily overcome by utilising other uniforms available in the locker.
