Suggestion Title: Scheduled practise nights for SEG (for AFO and RTPC)

Division: MET - RTPC

We need to have a rostered schedule for practise nights for SEG and AFO so we can all work on our coordination, communication and team player skills! We need to improve these standards especially for the unexpected SEG escorts so we know ours roles and responsibilities properly and we can all work together in a more effective manor!

I believe this would be a good thing because it allows us to work on our skills and practise these convoys possibly with real civs engaging in the convoy too so we can practise how to deal with breaches to the convoy and threats etc.

In full agreement. Theese escorts are a mess at times and the communications are shocking. I rarely see people have the idea of going up to scout even with plenty of SEG units.

improvements to be made from all sides imho

Hi Freddie,

Creating practice nights in my opinion is not required at the minute. Doing more and more escorts has the same effect as this and provides a more realistic immersion for everyone else.
The role of responsibilities should be clear from training and if we see on a convoy that someone is falling short of those responsibilities we will pull them up and deal with in an appropriate manner.
I have been on many of the last convoys and have seen no issue from our side with effective movement and communication. This is the same story for ones I have not been on but have heard about from the sergeants. Debriefs happen as and when they are required at a command level.

For now, this suggestion will be declined unless we notice a drop in standards from a CAT A / ESCORT side of things, then we will reevalute this and work out what is needed to progress.

Many thanks,
