Students Area in Discord for PCSO's

Looking and listening to some of the frustration from the wider community. Could there be an option that to get on to the server you have to be linked to our Discord. Within Discord there is a Students section that all new non PC starters are placed into. They have no other access to discord sections until they have passed PC training. Within the Students sections is Rules and F&Q's area where they can read the rules of the server ( especially regarding the use of the radio) Then to be able to complete PC training they must tick an acceptance box on a Google forms document to say they have read and understood the rules and F&Q's. The other members of the community don't have access to the students areas with the exception of Team Leaders and above due assistance and training reasons.

Hi Fox - there is already a PCSO/Student type area where new users are directed to. This is under the #awaiting-training tag. In here there is a link to the guides on the website and also a PC Basic Training Handout - all which are adequate means of learning for a new recruit until they are in a training room with a PC Trainer.

Duff would be the one to comment on this directly as c/insp and head of training.
